To Annex Artists! From KFOGG! 

I am so excited to present my upcoming exhibition at your new location in the Westbrook Outlets!! The place looks A-MAZING! Congratulations to you all and to the team who worked so hard to make this happen. My first step into the shop on your grand opening made me feel like I was on “Cloud 9.” 

That moves me into the invitation. I am currently working on a cloud series. 

As this series begins, it not only presents the beauty found up above, but the shape shifting energy within us as human BEINGS and as artists. This constant change can be exciting, full of bountiful fluff, movements and flow. It can also be dark, feel like a shock, and so full you just pray and hope it empties out before you explode with thunder and lightning. I also think, maybe we just need the spark of lightning to set things off? 

I am inviting you to partner up with me in this exhibition if it inspires you to do so. You can sit back and present what already exists at the Annex or create new work that represents your idea of Cloud 9 - a place of creativity and love that thrives through your work. For the fashion show I have Violet Sphinx, S/H, KFOGG, and Anna Star Lucas. If you know of anyone else who wants to join in please let me know ASAP and we would be happy to add you/them to the list! 

Cristin is being her awesome self and helping me organize this show and will continue communicating with you moving forward. Of course you can reach out to me personally as well. We are up for ideas, collaboration and want to make this show THUNDER through the outlets. 

This is an INDOOR & OUTDOOR EVENT. 

The basic schedule is below. I am looking for additional vendors, volunteers, and possibly another DJ for 

8-10, if the multipliers do not want to extend their time ( I have a feeling they will want to jam). 

Event Schedule: 

October 1st (Art show inside runs through Nov 1st) 
Saturday 2pm-10pm 

2pm-4:30pm : Dr. DJ WOLFE

5pm-8pm : Multipliers - Live Band 

Sunset 6:30pm - Fashion show 

8pm-10pm: Raffle & more music 

Vendors: 

1. Tarot and gems 

2. Skadoodlez Face Paint 

This is a kid friendly event. I have also invited Annex’s neighbor TapVille to promote as well as they provide multiple beers on tap. We will probably have beverages and snacks inside the Annex as well. 

Things we need borrow from our group and set up is: 
- Tents 
- Chairs 
- White Xmas lights - some color is good too 
- Extension cords
- Tape or protector for any cords running over walkway 
- Volunteers for set up the day of (9am-1pm)
- Volunteers for the event 2-4:30 and 5-8 - promotion, directing traffic within the outlet, and a little security for merchandise. 
- Signage (to help direct people to location from parking lot and maybe some bigger signs for entrance to Westbrook outlet - person(s) interested can contact me directly to plan and execute)

I am really excited for this. Thank you to the Annex crew for the invitation to show at the Annex and I will do my best to bring the people, represent the Annex, and all the artists taking part. 

We will be in touch to collect content for marketing. A SAVE THE DATE will go out Aug 15th and Posters, postcards and all marketing will start Sept 1st for the big push!!! We plan to hand out materials to artists participating, get our show on various online platforms, and utilize all shoreline newspapers and hopefully some magazines. VENDOR/ARTISTS ALERT::

Unfortunately we have to leave our New London location immediately due to unsafe building conditions and we do not want to put all of your/our work at risk. We did already have a few artwork casualties! Which means we need to get everything else out asap. After 14 months of asking our landlord to take care of water damage and now mold we sadly must leave. (If you’d like more info on why our landlord was incorrigible text us)

We hope to find another New London location by October but for now we are moving everything to Westbrook!

We have lots of space there and will be putting all our energy into promo/etc. 

This will change things financially so we are reassessing monthly fees and contracts. (It will be less) 

We feel very grateful to have another location at this time of crisis

and we will be fully operating in Westbrook for now and hope you will continue on our journey! 

We support you either way, please feel free to text us with any questions/concerns. If we don’t here back from you, we will assume your cool with us moving your product to WB.

Please know the door is open for you to collaborate and create, whether it be to curate a show, design displays or have events at The Annex. We are always open to hear your thought and suggestions!
